Learning to Wait on God

Since 2 weeks ago I found out that my car transmission was dying, a result of wear and tear and also carrying heavy loads in the car. The mechanic said to sell the car or get a new transmission which would cost $2500.

I wanted to just keep using the car until problems arose. Lo and behold, the problems arose way sooner than expected. The car has been playing up for the past 10 days. It almost feels like it's going to konk out at any time.

Ps Vera told me to call in a car from God. I have been calling it in. But, 2 problems with this calling in. I feel strange doing it because I've never done it before, almost like placing a demand on God, and the other problem is the waiting....

This morning, I read Psalm 40:1-3 and Habakkuk 2:1-3
Psalm 40(ESV)
 1I waited patiently for the LORD;
he inclined to me and heard my cry.
2He drew me up from the pit of destruction,
   out of the miry bog,
and set my feet upon a rock,
    making my steps secure.
3He put a new song in my mouth,
a song of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear,
and put their trust in the LORD.

Habakkuk 2 (ESV)
1I will take my stand at my watchpost
and station myself on the tower,
and look out to see what he will say to me,
and what I will answer concerning my complaint.
The Righteous Shall Live by His Faith
 2And the LORD answered me:

    "Write the vision;
   make it plain on tablets,
so he may run who reads it.
3For still the vision awaits its appointed time;
it hastens to the end—it will not lie.
If it seems slow, wait for it;
it will surely come; it will not delay.

Out of the Revival Study Bible was the following notes:
"I" revival is personal

"waited" waiting implies dependence. Waiting implies trust. Waiting says "I'm listening". Waiting says, "I need help!". Waiting says, "I have a plan, and my plan is to wait, in full trust upon the Lord."

"Patiently". Patiently says "I'm in no hurry". Patiently says "I'm here as long as it takes." Patiently says "In your time Lord, not mine."

What happens after these 3 words:
He inclined to me
He heard my cry
He brought me up out of the miry clay
He set my feet on a rock
He established my steps
He put a new song in my mouth

Look who gets in on the blessing:
Many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord.

Notes for Habakkuk 2:1
Habakkuk stayed upon his watch and waited for the Lord to speak. How important it is that even in times when God does not make sense to our head, we guard our heart against unfaithfulness toward Him. Revivals have typically come to those willing to remain faithful in waiting upon God to answer them. "But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31)

As Habakkuk waited, God answered him with a promise. "For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea!" God further assures him that He is God and is still on His throne, and He is still in His temple.

And so, I have resolved in my heart to wait. I have brought my case before God. My car has been used faithfully to transport the church equipment for the past 8 years. He knows my case.

I choose to wait and not lose heart. For His glory will be revealed as I trust in His perfect timing.

Stairway to Heaven?

Last night as I was about to fall asleep I started to have a vision. I was walking up a stairway and it led to a door. The door was very easy to open. And I felt the Lord say, everything in here is available to you, take as much as you want.

I also had the impression that I could access this door anytime and it would never be locked. All I had to do was to walk up those stairs.

It feels amazing to know that everything in heaven has been made accessible to me!

Paying the Price

We had a powerful intercession time on Saturday morning. Declarations were made and we were storming heaven with our prayers. It was good. We could all sense that God was going to move powerfully in church. The baby was being born, the birthing process was taking place.

On Sunday morning, I could just feel it...the enemy was not happy; there was a battle taking place in the spiritual realm for our church. The angels were fighting for us. Little things took place that made me more aware of the eneemy's unhappiness...the security guard being a little difficult with entry to the uni when it was usually a breeze, there was some tension in the worship team...the battle was on!

But service was awesome! The worship time was powerful! And it led to the release of words of knowledge for healing and people responded! People with left knee cap problem, and there were 2, and both were healed. Sore throat, and she was healed. One leg shorter than the other, and a young lady responded and the young people got thrilled when they saw the leg growing in front of their eyes and Joanne said she felt her leg stretching!

My husband preached a powerful sermon too. And oh, Kwadwo made powerful prophetic declarations.

There were also testimonies of other past healings. It was a great service!

But I had to face my weakness again in the afternoon. People that did not like me had once again spread lies...horrible...I really don't like being slammed especially when things said are not true. But this is the price I pay for pursuing God without hesitation...I learn to die to self. I learn to press on despite obstacles. I sometimes wonder how other pastors and revivalists do it. You go onto google and type a well known pastor's name and you get the slammers and the likers in your search.

I'm learning not to get discouraged but respond like John Wesley who got worried when no one threw stones at him when he preached. Opposition is always a good thing when we are on the right track with God!

And my conclusion? Keep running. Keep pursuing the Kingdom of God. I'm not going to let up. He has my back covered!

The Dam is Bursting

Something's up. Many of us in church have been feeling it since the start of the year. It was a shaky start. We were starting with smaller numbers because some people had left the country, others were doing a detour from their walk with God...but the leaders, we still had a stirring in our spirit that it was going to be an exciting year ahead.

I was taking the worship team practice on Saturday and gave this analogy: the enemy has been finding ways and means to block the move of God in our church but his efforts are going to be futile very soon. Yes, we've had times when the enemy's attack worked. But very soon, it's going to be impossible for him to stop what God has in store for our church, such a mighty move of God, no one, no thing can stop this revival.

It's like a little hole in the dam wall and the enemy sticks his finger in to stop the water from coming out of the dam wall. But soon the pressure builds up and "boom!" the dam wall breaks open and the water gushes out in torrents! That is going to be the way God moves very very soon!

And it's happening already. We had pastors Peter and Vera Hira minister to us yesterday in church. I kept thanking God for the honor and privilege of knowing these two mighty mighty children of His. Everyone responded to the altar call it was amazing! Hunger and thirst; hunger and thirst; hunger and thirst. And God will fill this hunger and thirst and it will overflow!

And I know, the blind are going to see, the deaf will hear, the lame are going to walk, droves of people are going to be saved and set free!

Signs of Ageing

This morning, my husband was packing for our trip to Melbourne tomorrow and he asked me, "Can wear shorts there? Is it ok?"
"Huh?? Why are you asking me that?" (Especially since we were going to Melbourne and meeting with our pastors)
"Can I wear shorts in Fiji?"
"Fiji?? We are going to Melbourne! Fiji trip is next week!"
"Ohhhh! Ha ha..."

I related this to Rachel, our second daughter and she laughed.
"Signs of ageing" I quipped.
"No, signs were already there before" she answered... cheeky :)

Is everyday a good day?

I love reading books by revivalists, prophets, apostles, I love going to Revival meetings, conferences that impart and activate people into revival. I get inspired by these godly men and women. I love what they do for the Kingdom of God.

I am on my personal journey of becoming a Revivalist. There is character moulding and shaping taking place in my life, a pressing in to more of God through time spent with Him, steps of faith that I take when praying for people, learning to relate to people better at home, in church, outside of church...

But sometimes I have bad days. People and situations bog me down. When people walk away from God, when situations are complicated...yes, these things cause me to sometimes have a bad day. Then I wonder, all these wonderful men and women of God whom I respect, learn and glean from...do they also have bad days? Do they get discouraged? Bogged down? There are many men and women of God in the Bible who have their bad days, even commit sin and write about it like King David. But what about these modern day revivalists? Or is everyday a good day for them?

Sometimes I wish they would write about their struggles too or talk about it a bit more in their meetings, sermons, so I know that I am on a journey like everyone else...

Releasing God's Love at the gym

I saw Shirley at the gym on Wednesday and she told me her left leg had been giving her alot of problems. It was always numb. I felt it. The temperature was cooler than her right leg, and her foot was so swollen. I prayed for her but kept thinking about her after I left the gym.

I really was not happy to see her in that condition. I was determined to pray for her everytime I went to the gym.

I arrived at the gym this morning and swiped my card at the reception. There was a man there talking to the receptionist. He looked a little familiar. I guessed that he was Barrie, the former trainer who came down with cancer and was now recovering. Shirley just spoke to me about him on Wednesday.

Shirley was with someone in her office so I started off on my workout but kept looking for the opportunity to go into her office to pray for her. Shortly after, I saw no one there so dashed into her office. I was a bit stunned to see there was a man sitting in a chair covered by her office door. It was Barrie.

Yikes, should I still pray for Shirley? Shirlz said hi to me, introduced me to Barrie and kind of ended the conversation but I just asked to pray for her. I looked over at Barrie to see if he was ok about it and he was. So I prayed for Shirley. Really felt the presence of God so strongly in that room it was awesome. Shirley said she felt hot all over and her heart was beating very fast. I knew God was doing something in her life.

I looked over at Barrie and decided to be bold and ask if I could pray for him. He said yes and explained he had leukaemia and was recovering from it. I asked if I could pray for his lungs and he said yes, because his insides were all messed up because of too many white blood cells in his body.

What happened next was beyond imagination. There were prophetic words and words of knowledge that spoke to Barrie about his specific health issues, his worries, the call of God on his life was released again and he also received inner healing.

It was a powerful powerful encounter of God's love for Barrie. After praying he started sharing his heart with me and began thanking God for His goodness and he proclaimed such a powerful prayer of thanksgiving to God.

It's been 3 hours since this encounter. I still am in awe at God's amazing and wonderful love for His children. Shirley and Barrie encountered God's love today. So did I.
